We are looking for a Business / Data Analyst to join our team to help us improve efficiency and effectiveness by mapping current operational processes and procedures, identifying, developing, and documenting process improvement changes. You will collect and interpret transactional data and information about market conditions, consumer behaviour and other business critical KPI’s. You will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then present it in ways to help the Credit Union make better Operational & Strategic decisions.
Ultimately, you will work to provide ways for us to improve efficiency, accelerate growth and improve member service.
Responsibilities
- Mapping and evaluating current business processes & procedures, uncovering areas for
improvement, and developing and implementing solutions. - Working with the Operations team to improve member service by reducing wasted time and
resources. - Staying up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise business
processes and systems. - Prioritising initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Working with the Business Development & Marketing team to inform and develop marketing strategies.
- Generating reports from single or multiple systems
- Designing market and consumer surveys.
- Gathering, analysing, and interpreting marketing data.
- Preparing detailed reports on consumer behaviour, competitors’ activities, outcomes, and income growth opportunities.
- Working with the Compliance team to improve compliance across all business functions.
- Designing & generating appropriate reports to support AML Compliance framework
- Gathering, analysing, and interpreting transactional data to support AML transaction monitoring framework.
- Managing competing resources and priorities.
- Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
Business / Data Analyst Requirements:
Must Have
- A bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field.
- Excellent research, analytical, conceptual thinking, and data interpretation skills
- Advanced technical & documentation skills.
- Experience using mapping, drawing software (Visio, Lucid Chart, Miro etc)
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Competency with databases such as SQL, CRM, and survey tools
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand format.
Good to Have
- Experience in business / data analysis or a related field.
- Experience using mapping, drawing software (Visio, Lucid Chart, Miro etc)
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
